Thats sad about great grandpa... I guessed it probably wouldn't be too much longer. That's awesome that he is with great grandma though. It's so nice to know that that is true. And that we do get to be with our families forever. That'll be good to get to see everyone though on friday. AH the baptism :) It was so awesome. It wasn't too bad for me at least. It was supposed to rain. So we prayed a lot for good weather. It didn't rain the whole day. That was awesome. But leading up to the baptism... Thursday was institute. And ** wasn't able to come. It was like one of the first times he wasn't able to come to something. We weren't too worried though. He said he was coming to sport on friday so we were alright. Then sport came and ** wasn't showing up. So we waited and sent him a text. He didn't respond. We were surprised because he usually was pretty good at coming when he said he would and letting us know if he couldn't. It was just scary the night before a baptism. But we were playing dodgeball and I was sitting there cuz I was out, and I just felt like praying for ** to show up. So I walked out to another room. And I said Heavenly Father, We don't know where ** is, help him to come. Just so we know that he isn't bailing on us last minute. I knew satan could try something now. Immediately I heard in the gym oh hey **! So I was just thinking thank you so much!!! so we got his record filled out and then we played dodge ball and had fun. Then saturday morning we had a breakfast with all the missionaries a couple of the ysa and **. We had french toast and banana pancakes. IT was pretty delicious. Then we all piled in the cars with a bunch of other people that showed up and drove an hour or so to a members house who lives by the fjord. There were about 35 people there. We took pictures and had a talk and it was really spiritual. Then we drove about 5 minutes to the fjord. When we got there, there were some sheep out on the rocks next to it. ** said we should baptize the sheep too. I thought that was funny. So we tried teaching the sheep a little. So we all stood on the shore and started singing I am a child of God. Halfway through the first verse elder whetten walked out into the water. That was so cool! He ended up standing out there for all 4 verses. He didn't know we were singing all 4 verses. But he just stood in the water. That was so cool though to see that. After we finished, ** walked out and then he was baptized. So cool!!! IT was so cool to see that happen! They kept saying the water wasn't bad, but it looked pretty cold to me. They came out and changed. ** asked if he was officially a mormon now. ha After they were changed and stuff we went back to the members house and had a couple talks and then refreshments. It was just awesome. It was all perfect. The place we found to do it at was a miracle. It was perfect for a baptism. But we ended up spending the rest of the day watching another baptism at the church for a member girl. and then we went to an american families house for dinner. That was awesome. Then sunday came. And I got to confirm **!! It was so cool! I dont know if he felt it. But it was really cool being able to say the words receive the holy ghost. So cool! I was nervous before, but it was awesome. We told him he was then officially a mormon. He's way cool. We are excited to start using him on teaches and stuff. He has a month before he goes back to america. We are going to call his american bishop sometime this week and set up a time for him and ** to skype. I can't wait for that. All around this was just an awesome weekend! Way spiritual and happy. I loved it. But yepp The girl from the library cancelled, but we rescheduled for this week. That will be cool. The school teach went way better this week. It was kinda a question and answer again, but the students were actually interested. They were asking good questions and we didn't have an atheist teacher attacking us the whole time. The spirit was really strong and We basically got through the whole first lesson. We ended up giving out 11 book of mormons at the end of it. When we talked to the teacher he told us we did a really good job with it and that we made our religion not only believable but desirable. He said he had a lot of questions for us as well so we are going to meet with him sometime personally. I think that will be a really good teach. I am excited for that one. Sounds like you had an awesome stake conference. The lord really is hastening his work! I can see it!!! But their language is definitely coming. I am happy for that. We actually had splits on thursday and me and the other greeny in my district went contacting all day. We got 3 numbers from it which is actually pretty good! especially since we were both struggling with the language. But we were able to talk to people!! I hear from most of my friends a lot of the weeks but not always. Sounds like they're doing good. Cade had a baptism last week too. So I am staying here in bergen for a while it looks like. The transfers are weird. They will usually be 6 weeks but sometimes they are shorter or longer. It depends on when the next group is coming in and stuff. I'm not exactly sure how it all works. Except that I am staying. Moves call is just that all the missionaries get on a conference call and the aps read off whos going to be where. So my address is still the same. Sounds like ill be here til february at least cuz they don't want to move many people around christmas and thats when the next transfer would be. ANd there isnt anybody coming in that day. So we'll see though. Tell rylee it (getting braces off) doesn't hurt at all. It is just a little bit of pressure. THats exciting though that she is getting them off. Congrats rylee! I hope reid gets feeling better. Sounds like you're all doing good otherwise though. Sorry I dont say much about my companion ha. WE get along great. I just don't know what to say about him . HE is from alpine, went to lone peak, hes cool and we have fun together. Hes the district leader so we are pretty busy a lot of the time. I am definitely keeping busy though. ANd I am having fun. From my studies this week, probably my favorite would be from romans 8 verses like 35 to the end I think... It talks about how nothing can separate us from the love of christ. NOTHING!! Its so awesome. I think my favorite part of that is where he says we are more than conquerers. SO COOL! We are more than conquerers. We can do anything! We can go forth and do the lords work without fear because he loves us and he wants us to succeed. It helps so much to know that. I think those are some of my new favorite verses. They are so powerful. I know that the lord loves us and he will help us through anything we are in need of. Anyway, that is my week. Hopefully I didnt forget anything. I hope you guys have a fantastisk uke! Love you guys! Its so good to hear from you every week. I hope reid and rylee got my letter.
