Hey guys! Sounds like you had a good new years eve. Mine was pretty dang great. We got permission to stay up to watch the fireworks and stuff cuz norway goes crazy with fireworks on new years. SO we went to *** and made homemade pizza and then we hiked on top of a mountain and watched thousands of fireworks. It looked like a war zone. It was way cool. I tried taking pictures of the fireworks down on the ground but my picture wouldn't take a good picture of it all. So that was kind of lame. But I did get some cool ones that were on top of the mountain. But anyway. I got a new companion on friday! It was sad to see elder w go. Elder N will be cool though. Hes from california. He's been out for about 14, 15 months... SO thats cool. Hes pretty cool. He was in Alta a while ago which is the highest north mission in the world. While there he learned some Sammi language which is the natives in northern scandanavia. I think we'll get along good. I will miss elder w though. HE was a good trainer. Im pretty excited for this next transfer. We have some things really going for us. Its going to be a short on because the last one was long because they didn't want to move anybody before Christmas. We have a long list of people we are trying to get a hold of who told us to call them after the holidays. We are hopefully going to get a lot of new investigators this week. ** came to church yesterday! THat was so awesome! I was excited for that one. Thats awesome rylee named her doll after her. That's funny. "POKE" By the way I'm pretty sure I won that skype poke war... haha We almost got a baptismal date from an investigator named *** from ethiopia. Hes a cool guy. He needs to come to church too. He'll get there. I have decided there is no way you can completely receive an answer unless you are willing to go to church and read and pray! You have to do all three! They are all so important! Its hard when you have investigators doing just one or two of these things. Luckily I have realized that now and I think that I push them all a lot more now. Its been a good week though. Its still a little slow. THe holiday season officially ended today. So hopefully we will be picking up this week. We have a lot of work going for us today already too. Its kinda nice. Bergen is going to have so many good things happening this year. 2014 is going to be an awesome year for Norway in general I think. Its pretty exciting. Im pretty bummed all your pictures wont open on the email here... I dont know why not. ANyway I hope you guys have a fantastic new year! 2014 will be a good one.. THe only year where I will go a full year without seeing American soil.. THats so weird.... BUt I am excited. Thats interesting you talked about how does god love satan? I had the same thoughts during the incident with **. I dont know if I thought about it the wrong way.. I might have. I was so mad at satan. I was wondering if I had to forgive satan for what he did to drag ** down. THere was nothing else. I forgive the portuguese man and of course **. But I wondered if I had to forgive satan. Cuz I know that no matter what.... He still is fighting to stop the work of God. I left it undecided. I read the scriptures where it says we have to forgive all MEN . SO I am not completely sure. I am positive God loves satan and I am 100% positive that it makes him very sad to see one of his children fighting so hard to bring down the rest of his children. I am kinda rambling about this one. I still am curious about it though. It is a little interesting. But anyway. I hope you guys know that I know this church is true! There is nowhere else I would rather be than serving god on the front lines. I am building myself. And helping to build others. I love this Gospel! I love you guys! THanks for your prayers and your support!
